Developing industry leaders

Our industry has undergone significant changes and challenges in recent years, including price volatility, policy changes, labour shortages, environmental concerns, a global pandemic and now as recently as only several weeks ago adverse and devasting weather events.

We know we will continue to face a range of challenges and changes every year, which require farmers to adapt and innovate to remain competitive and sustainable in the long term.

Our finalists are an inspiring group of future-focused, innovative and resilient dairy farmers who are passionate about driving our industry forward along with a commitment to meeting the challenges and opportunities that lie ahead.

With leaders such as our 2023 finalists it is comforting to know our industry has motivated, involved, and inspiring farmers to help lead us into the future.

Our programme would not be what it is today without the support and dedication from our national sponsors, regional and national judges, our large family of volunteers throughout the country and our management team. Together they enable us to deliver a thriving and successful programme each year.

In a few short weeks our regional winners will come together in Auckland to take part in the highlight of our programme Nationals Week. It is an opportunity for all our finalists to continue learning, connecting and growing.

The National Awards dinner will be held at the Cordis, Auckland, on Saturday, May 13. I extend a warm invitation to join us in celebrating some incredible people of our industry, I look forward to seeing you there.
